I was looking at google a while ago and a very interesting story caught my attention, it is about Homeowners that are being treated unfairly. The story is really good for those First Time Buyer Mortgages. As the housing market continues to sustain higher property prices, with no immediate sign of any substantial fall, it has become increasingly difficult for the first-time buyer to secure that initial home. Traditionally mortgage lenders would expect a deposit of at least 10% before offering reasonable mortgage terms in return.

Homeowners who are struggling to pay their mortgage payments may be being treated unfairly, according tot the Financial Ombudsmen (FO).

Tony Boorman, decisions director and principal ombudsmen, said: “The application of extensive fees for customers already experiencing debt problems may not be fair treatment.” He said that the consumer should be able to readily access how affordable a mortgage is for them if they know their won financial situation and the cost of the mortgage is clearly explained. The FO considers complaints for a wide range of financial matters including mortgages, insurance and credit.
