4.2 quake hits Pangasinan, parts of Manila

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake rattled an undersea area off Pangasinan Tuesday afternoon but caused no reported injuries or damage to property.

Jane Punongbayan, supervising science reseach specialist of the Philippine Institute for Volcanology and Seismology, said the epicenter of the quake was 77 kilometers from Lingayen, Pangasinan. She said the quake was felt at Intensity 3 in Ilocos Norte, Intensity 3 in Manila and Intensity 2 in Quezon City.

PHIVOLCS Director Renato Solidum said the agency received reports that the earthquake was felt as far as San Fernando, La Union; Bataan area and parts of Metro Manila.

A radio dzMM report said Malacañang employees evacuated the second and third floors of the palace after the quake struck.

Punongbayan said the quake is unlikely to cause a tsunami or even stronger aftershocks. “Usually only magnitude 7 earthquakes under the sea can cause a tsunami. This was only magnitude 4.2,” she told radio dzMM.

The Philippine archipelago lies along the so-called Pacific “Ring of Fire,” where earthquakes and volcanic activities are common.

Lumindol dito kanina, super lakas daw, wala kasi di ko naramadaman dahil sa naglalakad kami galing kaming Mcdonalds that time, gosh nakakainis di ko naramdaman, sana may aftershock LOL.

Upgrading my WP.

No classes but I haven’t updated for 5 days lol. I was busy doing my Chemistry Project and its all done now thank God it was okay. Hahaha. My freaking mouse is really pissing me off lately because of weird thing lol. May pinngaagkakaabalahan na pala ako ngayung new hobby. Hahaha Nagbabadmenton na ako lol. Tapos ko narin palang basahin yung Book 2 ng HP Hehehe an saya nasa 3rd na ako. Ang tagal kong binasa yung Chamber of Secrets kasi bawat araw isang page lang ang binabasa ko tinatamad kasi ako minsan tapos ang dami ko pang ginagawa. Hayun.

Super tuwang tuwa narin ako kay Marimar yung show na Marimar. Di ko kasi yun naabutan last time so ayun. hehehehe.

Yesterday we celebrated Expo 2007 It was fun pero kakapagod kasi nakatayo kami pero umupo nalang kami sa floor kasi walang chairs na nakalagay sa auditorium. I woke up too early at 5:30 in the morning. I don’t know I might just be so excited about my moms arrival. Later this evening she’ll be here already and I’m super excited. I don’t have nothing to blog. Summer is almost over 3 more weeks and I’m back to normal. Waking up at 5:00 am and sleeping at 9:00 pm. I’m super excited this school year I’m already a Junior High school. Time flies so fast and 2 more years I’m graduate. I still don’t know what course should I take. I’m confused. Our enrollment will start this May 21 is it too late?
